Re: PDF/UA
If SoftMaker hopes to achieve acceptance by U.S. governmental offices or by any company or entity that does business with a governmental agency
Later.
I have no idea what this is supposed to mean.
That was a political statement, hence off-topic in this thread. I am sorry. If it is ...

Re: Link to another tab
"Opmaak"|"Link"
Format|Hyperlink in the English Locale
In "URL" you write the complete path to the file you want to use.
Or nothing when you navigate inside the present file.
In "Target" you write the sheet's name: f.i. Mother's Finest (which is wrong because of the apostrophe!)
In deed! I ...

Re: Link to another tab
Thanks for your reaction. This looks like what I want but I tried and it didn't work...
I am glad it worked for you in the end, also because of my insecurity and the fact that the procedure may – in fact – be a little awkward.
However, if you can point to the precise difficulty that you had in ...

I am not sure that I really understand the problem, but here is an exemplary PMDX file with a hyperlink on sheet1, catapulting you to sheet2.AndyA1960 wrote: Tue Mar 31, 2026 5:09 pm In the index I want to make a hyperlink to the tab with the same name (on which I wrote all the albums of that particular artist).

Re: Splitting pages of a PDF document
This kind of transformation is best done with graphics software.
As I lack experience with Microsoft Windows® I can only point to Gimp or Ghostscript , as both exist in versions for Windows® . While the first comes with a GUI and may be most useful for occasional transformations of PDF, the latter ...

Re: [woff2/ttf] Round trip brotli compress & uncompress
For the time being, online converters and the woff-tools available for Debian make me gain 100K on a TrueType font. There are two things to retain here:
1.) 100K is not much on the Web. Almost nothing compared to the other resources that people are used to share, nowadays.
2.) There “appears to be ...

Re: [woff2/ttf] Round trip brotli compress & uncompress
A tool like FontForge would be able to tell you that since it logs all issues and errors contained on the font file and it provides the required tools to fix most, if not all issues. I could also be used to do the conversion. Just keep in mind that the font licencie must allow you to manipulate ...

[woff2/ttf] Round trip brotli compress & uncompress
What are the implications and co n siderations if I use a brotli tool to compress, then decompress a font file, first to WOFF2 , then back to ttf ?
My gained advantage is obvious. You just look at the files.
Licenses are unharmed by the proces AFAIS . Is there anything else that could prevent me ...

Wow.
Until today, this 1-article thread had been opened over 39.000 times.
Challenge: Provide a way to convert TextMaker TMDX to reStructuredText.
My part of the endeavor is the presentation of a procedure for AbiWord:

Now that you know how to install and uninstall stuff,
you can also just go ahead and read the documentation. Lots of it.

While “tech” evokes technology, I would not have expected you to be here before 7 o'clock.
But you sure encounter less traffic at that hour on the Erlanger Straße.

SQL Error 1040
Good morning
Searching the forum, I get a lot of “Too Many Request” Errors upon loading a page in arbitrary locations and upon doing anything from search to opening an article, modifying user-settings to logging in. It says General Error, SQL Error and 1040.
JFYI.

Good morning
I describe a way to generate HTML, man-pages and PDF-files from 1 reStructuredText (raw text) document.
Wanting to use only readily available software, I had to accustom to these, and as nobody seems to be interested in too much interoperability, shell-scripting becomes an integral ...

AFAIS, PDF/UA is based on PDF 2.0 and standardization is still in progress.
